SURPRISE!!! I’m still alive!!! It’s been a little under a year since I last posted, and SO many things have changed since then.
Here are some of the major updates on the homeschooling front:
- After a few short months of homeschooling Mateo last year, we decided to postpone anything resembling worksheets or “formal” learning at home for the time being. There was a bit of resistance on the little boy’s part to do certain activities, and the hubby and I both felt that we would wait until he was a little older so that we wouldn’t be forcing anything on him. Instead, for the next year, we did what all kids his age should be doing: play, eat, laugh, and read.
- The little boy is now a little older and we feel ready to try homeschooling again! This is the year, baby!
- We’ve formally signed up with a Homeschool Provider. After hoursssss of research and attending a handful of orientations with different providers, we’ve made our decision. For SchoolYear 2018-2019, we will be signed up with Homeschool Global.
- I’m currently in the process of preparing Mateo’s “curriculum” at home, and we will be officially starting our journey very, very soon.
That’s it for now! You can expect more updates from me in the coming weeks–stay tuned!
